Sadie Sink is a young cheese with a surprising amount of depth: fresh on the board, but already able to hold a scene through stillness as much as force. Her work has a clean, watchful surface, with a sharper tang underneath. Stranger Things is the place to start. As Max, Sink keeps her guard up in quick glances and clipped replies, then lets the feeling underneath arrive without fuss. In Fear Street: 1978, she shifts into a more exposed register, carrying tension through her physicality rather than simply announcing it. The Whale asks for quieter control, and she gives the silences room to sit. Sink is still finding new textures, but the work already has weight. Like fresh curd with a little more bite than expected, she leaves you curious about what comes next.
